BLACK TIE GLAMOUR AT RSA HOUSE, CENTRAL LONDON

It was full black tie glamour at RSA House for Annabel & Anthony - my first wedding of 2023. Annabel in the most beautiful bridal cape & dress, bridesmaids in black sequins and mirror balls and sparkle EVERYWHERE… What a way to start the season!

Super stylish RSA House was of course a total joy to work in - bright modern event spaces in a historically important building make it such an iconic place for a city wedding. The ceremony was held in the Benjamin Franklin room, followed by a champagne reception in the Tavern Room, then the wedding breakfast in the Great Hall and a party in the Vaults.

Back-of-house lifts and trolleys were my saviour, as this wedding involved a lot of repurposing - flowers moved from ceremony to party whilst the wedding guests dined, aisle meadows move to decorate the impressive stairway, and candles & bud vases travelled all over the building throughout the day.

Flowers were vibrant reds, hot pinks and a touch of purple - gorgeous against the monochromatic dresses and suits. We went all out with the wedding party florals, with the bridal bouquet, adult bridesmaids’ bouquets, posies and floral alice bands for the flowergirls plus of course lots of buttonholes for the groom and his gang.

Pedestals, trailing candle-filled mantle runners, aisle meadows, bud vases, hundreds of candles in colourful votives, plus neon signs, many many mirror balls, a fabulous cake and the bride’s late grandfather’s sword for cutting - this wedding had it all!

LONDON WEDDING - OLD MARYLEBONE TOWN HALL & THE AMADEUS

Lara & Gus’ gorgeous city wedding celebrations took place at Old Marylebone Town Hall and The Amadeus, in West London’s Maida Vale in December 2022. With styling masterminded by the brilliant Whole Lotta Love, the day was photographed by Marta Ilardo - see some of her gorgeous work below!

With a wintery party vibe but definitely not full festive reds, the day’s flowers were based around a palette of burnt oranges, pinks and textured greenery for bridal and bridesmaid bouquets and buttonholes. A fabulous full-length, front facing runner decorated the top table. Guest tables sat trestle-style, with their own mini runners placed amongst Catered by Justin’s beautiful sharing platters. A foliage-only installation welcomed guests at the entrance, and a sparkling Christmas tree drew attention to the far end, alongside Red Cat’s spectacular lighting. Overhead hung the MOST fabulous streamers by Streamadelica.
