ICONIC LONDON PUB WEDDING - THE BEDFORD, SOUTH LONDON

Mirror balls, streamers, mustard & hot pink flowers and candles were the order of the day for Mary-Ann & Conor, whose wedding took place at the brilliant Bedford in Balham, south west London, in November 2023.

The Bedford is such a fun setting for a wedding - with a choice of six event rooms above the main pub floor, plus guest rooms all under one roof. Mary-Ann & Conor held their ceremony and reception in the interconnected Cocktail Bar and Private Dining Room - combining perfectly for an intimate celebration.

The ceremony arch - filled with fresh flowers in mustard, shades of pink and muted orange, dried flowers and grasses plus mirror balls in various sizes and sparkling burnt orange streamers - stayed in place for the wedding breakfast, and we added bud vases, beautiful twisted taper candles in yellow and hot pink, tiny mirror balls and sliced citrus to create a fun tablescape.

With a little one of their own, Mary-Ann & Conor definitely knew how to take care of the younger guests too, with a brilliant creche service provided by The Wedding Crechers - games, personalsed gifts, toys & books all set out on playmats and in the sweetest little tipis!

BRIGHT & JOYFUL WEDDING CELEBRATION AT THE AMADEUS, PADDINGTON

Riz and Kat’s gorgeous, colourful wedding had two important influences when it came to the flowers. One was the groom’s heritage, and for this we created - in place of a traditional four-pillar mandap - an extended arch for the couple’s nikah ceremony, adorned with late summer flowers in beautiful bold shades of red, hot pink and bold orange, with garlands of marigolds.

The second vital factor, in memory of Kat’s beloved grandmother, was the use of freesia in the bridal bouquets and buttonholes. I received a note of thanks after the ceremony that was just so gratifying, knowing that I had helped the family feel that this much loved and missed lady was represented at their happy day.

The arch remained in place for the reception, at which point we added generously filled footed bowls to the round guest tables, plus candles in colourful votives.
