What a joy it was to create the flowers for Sofia and Tom’s Greenwich wedding - a stunning venue that felt like a little slice of countryside in the big smoke. Even lovelier was knowing the couple chose Charlton House as their wedding venue because it was where they had their very first date during a gap in lockdowns during the pandemic.
To honour the traditions of her Romanian heritage, Sofia asked me to include solidago, a flower I wouldn’t usually use in a wedding - but it did in fact work beautifully in the table arrangements, adding texture and a pop of bright yellow colour. I was so happy to work with this lovely bride to ensure the flowers were meaningful, and to learn a new fact about different wedding traditions!
Thank you Sofia & Tom for asking me to be part of your beautiful day.
